Outburst: Native American Art after Vietnam, Wheelwright Museum

Outburst poses a provocative question: Can we accurately interpret the popularity and impact of contemporary Native American art from the 1970s without acknowledging the experiences of Native American veteran artists returning from the Vietnam War?

The Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Closed Sundays, Mondays and Major Holidays.  There are occasional “first Sunday” opening, check schedule on website.
