Allan Houser Downtown Gallery

Allan Houser’s career and leadership in the world of fine art and Native American Art goes unrivaled.  He was among the first art students of Dorothy Dunn at the Santa Fe Indian School and the first Native American sculptor.  A Retrospective of Houser’s sculpture (jointly  work by George Morrison) was the inaugural exhibit of the Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC in 2004.

The  gallery is located 1/2 block north of the Santa Fe Plaza on Lincoln Avenue in downtown Santa Fe.  The gallery presents over 100 small and moderate scale artworks including bronze and stone sculpture, charcoal and pastel drawings, as well as tempera and acrylic paintings.
